Satellite Radio Battle Heats Up
E-Commerce Times reports: Before the Hyundai deal, both
satellite radio players have cobbled together piecemeal deals with the auto
industry as manufacturers made the service an option in only some models. Both XM
Satellite Radio and Sirius have so far split the auto companies nearly in half.

Digital Radio Gaining Ground in US and Europe

will have impressive growth in its subscriber base over the next several years in
the United States, with 3 million net new subscribers annually in the US alone
through 2008, according to In-Stat. A recent survey of the high-tech market
research firm's Technology Adoption Panel of US consumers indicates a growing
awareness of digital satellite radio services.

XACT XTR1 Sirius Portable Satellite Receiver
From I4U; Satellite radio is going
personal and portable this year. First there was the XM2Go Delphi MyFi that works
with the XM satellite radio service. Now Xact (known for its wristwatch Walkie
Talkies) showed the XTR1 portable satellite receiver that works with the Sirius
